  • What is a theory?

A hypothesis which has had extensive experimentation and has been found to explain a question.
  • What is sexual reproduction?

The production of one or more offspring as a result of a male and female of species combining their genetic material from parent to offspring and requires two parent organisms.
  • What are the six kingdoms?

    Archaebacteria
    Eubacteria
    Proista
    Fungi
    Plantae
    Animalia
  • What is the purpose of the scientific method?

To provide a systematic way of obtaining data and analyzing that data.
  • What are the steps of the scientific method?

1 State a question or problem
2 Collect data and facts that are already known about the question
    3 Form an hypothesis
    4 Preform an experment
5 Collect data and make observations-record the results
6 State a conclusion and determine if the hypothesis is correct
    7 Retest.
  • What charge does an atoms have?

An atom has no over all charge because the negative electrons and positive protons are equal because their charges cancel each other out givings an over all charge of zero.
  • What is the difference between an atom vs an ion?

An atom has no over charge due to the positive protons and the negative electrons and an ion is an atom that has gained or lost electrons.
  • What is the maximum number of electrons in each of the three shells?

    1 shell holds a maximum 2 electrons
    2 shell holds a maximum 8 electrons
    3 shell holds a maximum 18 electrons
  • Why do atoms combined to form molecules?

Because they are more stable bonded together they are most stable when they fill their outer shells with eight electrons.
  • How are covalent bonds formed? (Electrons role)

In a covalent chemical bond two atoms share their electrons in order to acheive greater stability.
