How do neutrophils move from blood to tissue?

  1. DAMPs and PAMPs change endothelial cells and neutrophils protein expression by making them upregulate P-selectin and L selectin respectively.
  2. L-selectin + P-selectin = slows neutrophils and make them roll along the endothelium
  3. Platelets produce platelet activating factor that causes neutrophils to produce leukocyte function-associated antigen 1 (CD11a/CD18)
