- Grouping by time. > According to when the work is done, different shits in a factory.
- Grouping by output. > On the basis of the products they make or the services they render (weergeven), our faculty: IPM, LAW, SSMS.
- Grouping by client. > To deal with different types of clients, patients: children or adults.
- Grouping by place. > According to the geographical regions in which the organization operates, north, west, east, south.

- Functional grouping. By the means, the functions it uses to produce its products and services.
